Richardson's strategic access to major freeways, airports and public transportation has helped it become one of the largest employment centers in the area.

U.S. 75/North Central Expressway

• Main freeway north from downtown Dallas.
• Bisects town, south to north.
• "High Five" interchange - U.S. 75 at I-635, near our southern border, enables this high traffic intersection to be one of the most efficient in Texas.

I-635/LBJ Freeway

• I-635 was constructed as a partial-loop freeway around the city of Dallas.
• I-635 begins at the north entrance of DFW Airport and extends east to intersect with I-20, east of Dallas in Mesquite, TX.
• I-635 skirts our southern border with Dallas.

SH190/Bush Turnpike

• 30-mile, 6-lane, limited access tollway.
• Generally serves as our northern border.
• Provides for east-west traffic from Garland to I-635 or Hwy 114, near entrances to DFW Airport.
• Links commuters by giving direct access to U.S. 75, I-635, IH-35E and the Dallas North Tollway.

DART Light-Rail (Commuter) and Public Transportation Bus Service

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) is a modern, public transportation system that includes a network of buses and light-rail lines that connect us to more than a dozen other cities in the area. DART has enabled us to attract and retain large employers as employees have the opportunity to enjoy an extensive public transportation system.

Our light-rail stations are:

• Spring Valley Station.
• Arapaho Center Station.
• Galatyn Park Station.
• Bush Turnpike/CityLine Station.

There are also numerous, citywide DART bus routes available.

Air Travel

DFW International Airport is located a short 25 miles from town and provides domestic flights to every major U.S. city, directly, in 4 hours or less, as well as international flights.

• Fourth-busiest airport by passenger traffic in the world in 2020.
• 260 destinations, including 67 international and 193 domestic destinations.
• Hub for American Airlines which is headquartered in nearby Fort Worth.
• Five terminals, 164 gates, seven runways.
• First carbon neutral airport in North America, largest in the world.

Travel to DFW International Airport takes roughly 30 minutes (non-rush hour) via US 75 to I-635 or SH 190/Bush Turnpike to I-635 or Highway 114.
