State Farm hiring up to 700 for new DFW regional headquarters

State Farm Insurance is getting ready for a rapid expansion into North Texas, with plans to hire up to 700 employees in the near future at its Dallas-Fort Worth operations.
The employees will be part of a larger workforce for State Farm, which is expected to hire upwards of 8,000 employees when its new regional customer center is fully operational.
In 2012, the Bloomington, Ill.-based insurance company signed the largest office lease in North Texas history, committing to 1.5 million square feet of office space spanning three towers in CityLine, a soon-to-be-developed massive mixed-use development in Richardson.
The new State Farm facility will be similar to a $600 million facility recently unveiled in Phoenix. The new Richardson facility is expected to be open in 2015. Until then, the insurance company is operating throughout North Texas, including Richardson and Las Colinas, at various offices.State Farm plans to hold a job fair for employment candidates from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 4, at Renaissance Dallas-Richardson Hotel at 900 E. Lookout Drive in Richardson.
The job fair will focus on full- or part-time job candidates for customer service, call center, information technology and sales jobs. Job applicants can also fill out
