Developers in Richardson have disclosed details of the first phase of a prominent new mixed-use development on North Central Expressway.
The planned apartment and office project is part of the Eastside development located near the southeast corner of North Central and Campbell Road.
Property owners Fobare Commercial and AGF have teamed up with apartment builder Hunt Development to build more than 500 rental units on the site.
The first phase will be a 280-unit, 4-story apartment community planned at 1705 N. Greenville Avenue near Alma Road.
The 4.8-acre site is now occupied by aging office space in a handful of low-rise buildings.
Hunt Development will build the new apartment project with two courtyards, a dog park, swimming pool and parking garage, according to plans filed with the City of Richardson.
BGO Architecture designed the project.
Future phases of the development would include more apartments and an office building, according to the plans.
Hunt Development is already an apartment developer in North Texas. Hunt has projects in Frisco and Allen.
The Richardson project is the second phase of the Eastside retail and apartment and development that was built in 2007 on the south side of Campbell.
