Flexjet announced an order for up to 50 new Gulfstream aircraft Tuesday, including the just unveiled G500.
The Richardson-based company will be the exclusive provider of the G500 for fractional ownership in North America.
The G500 is a 12-passenger aircraft that can fly 5,000 nautical miles. It’s expected to hit the market in 2015.
The deal also includes the G450, which can carry 16 passengers and travel 4,350 nautical miles, and the G650, a 12-passenger plane that can travel 7,000 nautical miles.
The G650 is capable of reaching Europe or Asia from the United States.
“Flexjet is privileged to fill the void in the fractional market for new Gulfstream aircraft, becoming the sole and exclusive fractional provider of new Gulfstream aircraft,” said Kenn Ricci, chairman of Flexjet.
The partnership between Flexjet and Gulfstream also includes a 10-year service agreement where Gulfstream will provide maintenance and service to the aircraft anywhere around the world.
