Richardson, The CORE District Host Combined 'Culture in The CORE' & 'Light Up Lockwood' Event on Sat., Nov. 2

August 29, 2024

Richardson, Texas – The annual Culture in The CORE and Light Up Lockwood events will take place in a combined event on Saturday, Nov. 2. Culture in The CORE will run from 2:30-6:30 p.m. at Main Street Plaza, 105 S. Interurban St., and Light Up Lockwood will follow that evening from 7-9 p.m. at 500 Lockwood Dr.

Culture in The CORE is a free, family-friendly event that takes place each fall and brings together Richardson’s diverse communities to have fun, to learn and to experience the music, dance, foods and arts of different cultures. This year, the marquee water tower light show that defines Light Up Lockwood will be added to the day’s festivities.

The Culture in The CORE portion of the event will include a variety of local culinary options, drinks, shopping and live entertainment. Popular vendors will also be in attendance, offering a selection of items for purchase.

In addition to the light show, the Light Up Lockwood portion of the event will feature popular Lockwood vendors Lockwood Distilling Company, Happy Hippie Brewing Company and Lizzie Bee’s Flower Shoppe.

Parking and admission are free. Parking will be available at most public lots around Main Street Plaza and the Lockwood neighborhood.
