Associa to benefit from $450,000 Richland College Training Grant

RICHARDSON, TEXAS — Associa, the nation’s largest community management firm, will soon be able to train more than 300 of its Richardson employees through a Texas Workforce Commission grant totaling $449,988 awarded to Richland College.

“This is an unprecedented opportunity for Richland College, the City of Richardson and Associa,” says Associa CEO John Carona. “We feel fortunate to have been chosen to participate in this venture intended to further strengthen the Richardson business community.” Carona and Richardson mayor Laura Maczka will be among those taking part in the ceremony Wednesday morning.
The Skills Development Fund Grant will allow the training of 222 new hires and 79 incumbent workers at Associa’s Client Shared Service Center in Richardson. Training will include accounting, customer service, financial spreadsheets, leadership and lean office. Participants will have 12 months to complete the training at the Associa facility.
