100 brokers attend "zombie panel" Broker-Developer lunch on Halloween
November 12, 2013
Nearly 100 Dallas-Ft. Worth commercial real estate professionals attended the Richardson Chamber of Commerce Broker-Developer Halloween Special lunch on October 31. Custer Court hosted and sponsored the event at 501 W. President George Bush Hwy.
In true Halloween spirit, the topic was “Back from the Grave” Properties in which a “zombie” panel made up of Granite Properties’ Robert Jimenez, JP Partners’ Mark Jordan and Peloton Commercial Real Estate’s Murl Richardson discussed how their historically vacant properties recovered and are now at or close to full occupancy. Steve Modory of Champion Partners, a Tri-Chair of the Broker-Developer committee, moderated the discussion.
The panelists revealed the challenges they faced with their properties and described what innovative approaches they took to turn them around. Solutions included renovations and creative ways to add parking.
Custer Court gave away three prizes totaling $1,000. A prize was given to Nora Hogan of Transwestern for wearing the best Halloween costume; Tim Veler of Transwestern and Taylor Dickerson of Citadel Partners also received cash prizes.
A special thanks to Co-Series Sponsors Legacy Texas Bank and Page Southerland Page and to Custer Court for making the event possible. The Richardson Broker-Developer Series is a quarterly networking event that showcases available Richardson properties. Attendance is limited to commercial real estate brokers, developers and invited guests only.
